No Man's Sky - Why the delay is a good thing

We've all been counting down the days, and out of nowhere, Hello Games dropped a bomb on us. Nobody expected this delay, and some of us may have reacted poorly. Still, I'm here to let you know there's a silver lining to all of this. No Man's Sky is still definitely worth the wait!

Truly epic works of sci-fi and fantasy take years to piece together. J.R.R. Tolkien took 12 years to finish Lord of the Rings after he published The Hobbit. Even Jurassic Park took Michael Crichton eight years to finish. These stories are best-sellers because their creators spent extra attention on the minute details of their creations.

A lot of woe and turmoil has been flooding the Internet since the announcement that the game would be delayed LESS THAN TWO MONTHS from the initial release date this June. If that's enough to receive death threats, I'm really glad nobody is anticipating the novel I've delayed finishing for 2 years now. I'm really looking forward to finishing it someday (hopefully sooner rather than later), but in the meantime, I'm happy to blow off some steam playing No Man's Sky when it arrives in August.

Happy gaming! And don't give up on something you've been anticipating merely because it didn't arrive the moment you expected it. That's simply childish, and you'll lose out on some really great treats.
